| This is my first book review so bear with me. I'm
going to occasionally post some book reviews here on beady books that I
own in my personal collection.
Today I will be talking to you about "Coraling Technique" by Varvara. As some beaders might or might not know, Varvara is a wonderful beader who lives in Russia. She makes beautiful jewelry out of mostly seed beads. This book features some jewelry patterns using the technique, coraling. It is a branched fringing technique that makes it look like corals in the sea. This is very simple to learn but has gorgeous results. It has patterns for 10 necklace designs and a couple of bracelet and earring designs to match some of the necklaces. All the information is in black and white but it includes full color pictures of each of the necklaces in the middle of the book. The directions are very easy to follow, although the first time, I tried to do it with just the pictures and without reading the instructions and of course that didn't go over so well. Below is a picture of a necklace I did using the basic necklace pattern. I used ceylon pearl and ceylon seafoam green seed beads and light green cat's eye beads. It was loads of fun to make. I have not added a clasp yet.
